This is an email I sent to Pumpkin Patch today, triggered by the arrival of one of their plastic wrapped catalogues today. Despite the fact that we receive online emails and news from them:

I will return your latest catalogue to you.
I will no longer accept newspapers and magazines wrapped in plastic foil.
For decades magazines were delivered with just a sticker on the back, then followed a paper envelope, then the plastic. I could find nothing wrong with just the sticker.
Please do not send me any further mail that is wrapped in plastic.
I am the opinion that it is unnecessary and a superfluous burden for the rubbish system and the environment.
I would be delighted you you would revert to stickers only, if you believe you really have to send paper to people. I personally prefer the email version anyway.
