1   Link   Tunnicliffe's Timber Company Limited
Based in Edgecumbe, in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty, Tunnicliffe’s manufactures kiln dried rough sawn Radiata Pine timber into fingerjointed, defect -free clearwood components, mouldings and profiles, both treated and untreated.
Why don’t we use CCA treated timber any more? Quite simply, we were having problems disposing of CCA treated off-cuts and shavings. CCA contains Copper, Chrome and Arsenic.
There are concerns about the Chrome and Arsenic components with regard to our health and environment. CCA is practically banned in Europe and the US. In Australia restrictions are announced, to be implemented next year, for the use of CCA treated product in public areas.
